All of those on your list are during a time when they didn't have good tests to detect the drugs. Owners don't want to make multi-million dollar commitments to players that won't be able to play. The Combine is structured for the teams, not the league. Every year there is a player or three that gets caught.

Maybe his agent told him to orchestrate a kerfuffle so character questions would cause him to fall to a GOOD team in the first round? That was some of the banter theories when this broke.

If in fact he did ay that, I'm very disappointed in him. Society today has bred that you are better than others when you're simply in the public light. Coming from a guy that grew up with jack shit and would be collecting trash without football, he should be a little more humble in his approach, especially before he actually signs for millions.

There are so many sophisticated drugs in the PED variety that still go undetected by the testing methods, including the masking techniques. Masking is light years ahead of the drug detection methods available. HGH is still a mother to detect and to get ahead of users. When someone is getting pinched these days they sometimes find the female hormone in the bloodstream, not HGH or anabolic steroid. Just a masking agent that they got caught trying to confuse the testing methods or they were using to balance the natural hormone output.

While we have 2 dual-threat QBs now on roster, I fully expect Daboll to be more multiple while still featuring Jalen's strengths. We tried a little last year, but you don't want to totally reprogram a true frosh and lose production.

I remember him jumping in my 40 line as a frosh during day-1 testing for camp participants at a Saban camp a few years ago when I was still coaching ball.

He ran a hand-timed 4.63 then, cold.

His official will probably be logged at 4.55.
