A win tonight versus LSU may lead to some interesting swings in the RPI rankings. The Tigers are at #77 this morning and even with a loss to Bama tonight they are in good position to move into the top 75. That would essentially be moving LSU from a Q2 to a Q1 team.
Bama better bring it tonight. LSU had a packed home crowd at the house Maravich built and they wanted our Bama scalp on their wall. They are obsessed at the thought of beating us in anything. And I do think losing to another unranked team at home is going to start costing us with the committee.
Beating AU with wins against UT and UF? In terms of the SEC we'd be looking at the team getting a bye on Wednesday and Thursday. Both would be two more Q1 wins to put the team at nine if my math is correct. (I say nine assuming Bama beats LSU tonight and they end up in the top 75.) IF that happens we'd also be looking at 'Nova and Kansas as the only two teams with more Q1 wins.
