Those who share my taste for trivia may be interested to note that 50% of Bama's 2022 schedule is against teams located west of the Mississippi. I'd bet that that's a historical first.

And Austin Peay, which is east of the Mississippi, has my favorite crowd cheer in all of organized sports: "LET'S GO PEAY! LET'S GO PEAY!"

It’s tough to justify spending what season tickets cost with a home schedule like that. Of course, the powers that be know we’re not going to give up our seats. So, as long as Coach Saban’s on the sidelines they can schedule whoever they want and charge whatever they want and we’ll still pack the stands.

Yeap, that's how I see it as well. 2022 Bama team should be much improved in all aspects.

This first year away from neutral site games was always going to be a stinker. As we start cycling through a second good non-con game per year, those will toggle between home-away so we'll always have a good home and good road game. We've got a 2 for 1 coming with USF (yes, they may be good or stink, that's the way scheduling works) and home and homes with TX, WV, FSU and Wisconsin all in the next four years.

The future schedules are set to be much better than it will be in next year's transition. Would love to take in the game at Camp Randall.

Home and homes with Texas, Florida State, Wisconsin, and West Virginia will replace the annual neutral site games. I hate that the era of playing neutral site games every year is over. We did not play one in 2010, 2011, and 2020. The last one being for obvious reasons. It was certainly fun while it lasted. I guess they felt like it was time for a change.

The way things are shaking out that trip to Camp Randall looks to be the only non-con game to look forward to in the next few years. And that's only because of it being in Camp Randall, not the competition.

We did not play one in 2010, 2011, and 2020. The last one being for obvious reasons. It was certainly fun while it lasted. I guess they felt like it was time for a change.

I don't, because too many of the tickets go to sponsors and others that don't even care to be there. I purchased three Alabama-Miami tickets through the University, well over normal season ticket face value from our own ticket office. I also won two more tickets in an auction so I could find a way to take 5/6 members of my family (the sixth is three years old, so felt it was ok not burning more money for her). I paid less than face for these, which was the only way I was gonna make it work. I say this because the two I purchased from the auction were down low, 35 rows up, Alabama side, about the fifteen yardline. This was the Chick-Fil-A section. Mid-way through the second quarter, 50% of the section had left. After Halftime, 80% of the section had left. My wife hates heights, so I let her and my son sit there, and she said there were maybe 10-15 people out of thousands in that area that had Miami or Alabama attire on. She almost felt out of place because my eight year old son was the loudest person in the entire section and no one else was cheering. So tickets are going to sponsors which are going to people that don't even care about the teams in the game. I found this out, because when my two daughters and I moved down once it cleared I asked a nice guy sitting there that said he was only there because he was given tickets at work and didn't even care for football. This is why I can't stand neutral site games. The tickets are WAY more expensive and loads of tickets go to sponsors and not actual fans, boosters, and students of the programs involved. It's more about money than it is college football. I don't really care what the University gets paid, because for the amount of money I pay for season tickets, I'm having to fork out even more going to a game that has been taken away from us. Tide Pride is the same price no matter if we get that extra game or not, so that's the part I hate.

There have been a few small conversations here about Sark and how things are going in Texas. It's not good to date.

I'm almost to the point I don't expect him to be on the sidelines when Texas visits.

Texass has a 1000 yella wood type guys. I don’t think anyone will have sustained success there for a long time.
