After defeating Arkansas Saturday night the Tide closed the gap on the second ranked team in the nation, Texas, in the AP poll.
There were a few significant changes in this weeks poll when compared to the analysis of the AP poll last week.
The Tide is beginning to get more recognition on the West Coast as the San Fransisco Chronicle’s Ray Rhatto joined three other AP voters in giving the Tide their vote as the number one team in <input name="IL_MARKER" type="hidden">the nation.
