i guess heupel will win it since his team is the darling and all the rage and they're undefeated since forever and no one can beat them and they're the greatest team ever created on earth in all of history and the rest of us are just playing for second while trying to keep up.....blah...blah...blah...
not that it matters. 'cause with that trophy, it don't mean shit.
That was a great turnaround from one year to the next but UAB did not even have a team until last year. To make them bowl eligible in the first year and win their conference in the second, when starting from scratch. That gets my vote.
He did. Not saying he should win them all but I think he is far more deserving of a finalist spot than Heupel. He also got zilch for what he pulled off last year, winning 8 games in the first year back after what amounted to the death penalty. Ask SMU how long it took them to have a winning season.

If I recall correctly, he did receive the CUSA COY in '17. There are caveats they are considering with Clark as well—at least I'm assuming they look at his first class having 45 versus the regular class cap. (I believe that's the number the NCAA allowed in their first year back. I seem to recall an AL.com article discussing this.)
I get Heupel's inclusion. It's hard enough for a team to make it through the season undefeated, but to do so with a new coaching staff (when it's their second year as an undefeated) carries a lot of weight in the AP voters eyes.
Remember, we are talking about the AP voters here and we've already seen four of them award UCF their national title vote last year.
It's my opinion we'll see the AP votes being able to logically explain why they voted for the individual they choose. However, we've also come to realize that AP voters vote emotionally as much as they do logically: if not more.
And am i ever going to pull for lsu......and a destructive win......
Sometimes....you fight and win...fight again and win....then happens several more times...then you’re hot shit...and fight and the guy just kicks your puny ass...
Makes u realize ....where u stand...geux tigers
I heard someone speculate Brian Kelly won this because he swapped out his QB's early in the season. I don't understand why that would have an impact on the COY...
