🏈 Anyone have a problem with FAN day?

I was wondering if anyone had a problem with how FAN day was handled yesterday? I carried my 8 year old son so he could autographs and the 45 minute time limit was a joke. By the time we got onto the field, 20 minutes had already elapsed and Saban and Julio's line were closed. Those were basically the only 2 my son wanted. There wasn't any big signs to direct you to the numerical order that the offense and defense was positioned. We didn't find this out until we got up to the table with the TEs. We still got 12-15 autographs but my son was really dissapointed. I wish they spent a couple of hours for the fans only. We got in the line and didn't observe practice were some did and I guess they were turned away completely. I know Saban is meticulous in his planning but this wasn't good.:swear:

I havent been since they moved it from A-Day. I personally do not like the way they run it. I have been to events for other teams (NFL, NHL, etc) and they run them more efficiently. Heck even NASCAR teams like Roush have a fan day that runs smoother. And lord knows NASCAR fans love to get those autographs. I helped run security for a large signing event when I first got out of the Army.

I sent a letter to the athletic office a few years back after I had a similar experience in 2000. I may update it and send it again. Heck, I'd even volunteer to help organize it.

You are right though. Having that many crazed BAMA fans and only 45 minutes is a joke. Do it right, or dont do it at all. Sure, you will never get 100% of the fans. But make the experience better.
