📽 /🎵 Anybody watched any good new shows or series lately?

One more thing on The Pitt. There's a warning at the beginning of nudity in a medical situation. This is true. HOWEVER, one of the scenes was a lady giving birth. And yes, if you are wondering, it was a close up shot of the head emerging...bald head coming through a spider web.
:ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: I'll never forget the first time I saw childbirth. I had not started my "medical" career journey. I had been an x-ray service guy for about 10 years and been around a lot of medical, but not in the clinical aspect. I was on a mission trip to Honduras and a buddy of mine was in his "internship" and was doing OB/GYN at a regional hospital in La Ceiba, Honduras. Let's just say, it was eye opening to say the least.

On a side note. I was about to start watching The Pitt. I just finished up The Wire. I always heard how good it was, but never took the time. I tried several years back but couldn't get into it. It has been a great series.

My first was my kid. Wife and I had agreed I'd stay up near her head as I had no interest in being further down during that event but dr kept telling me I had to see this. Some things can't be unseen.

We watched it a few months back... I had to force myself through it. I'll be interested to hear your take. Very, very minor spoiler.... After watching it, it appears Pittsburgh is a very dangerous city with an out of control white crime rate. Hopefully in season 2, they call in the National Guard to straighten all that out.

I find that take odd.

Of the dude that punched her? Never saw the shooter. If that's your take, I guess we can say the black population in Pitts are mostly nuts satisfied with a sandwich? No black first years though there's Hindu, on the spectrum, country white, Puerto Rican ...

Just find it really hard to believe that was very representative of a random shift in a Pitt ER. The entire show had an underlying woke (for lack of a better word) thread woven through it. Which is why it was so predictable. IMO

There are parts I can attest are accurate. I can't speak for the trauma related scenes. I'll have to think about the "undercurrent" you mention. They knocked the ol' "diversity" ball out of the park. Is that where the thought comes from?

That's under the umbrella of it, they definitely filled up the diversity bingo card.

That's one of those things we where can only shrug. When the Actors Guild said to qualify for an award you had the check the boxes...it was gonna happen unless the directors/producers just don't give a damn. Amidst all of that it's a little crazy it was the charge nurse that won the Emmy.

I highly recommend The Pitt. Amazing series.

Turn on the TV for a little background noise and on the front/Home page of Hulu I see...

Pole to Pole with Will Smith.

Strangely, unironically, apropos.

The last shows I watched were 1923 and 1883 (both part of the Yellowstone world, just in case someone didn't know). Both were excellent. But man, the last 2 episodes of 1883 were just gut-wrenching for me.

I wish Yellowstone was on Paramount. It's on Peacock, but I'm not going to buy a subscription just to watch 1 series. The new "Y" series, Marshals, will be on Paramount. So I'll probably get into that when it comes out.

@Brandon Van de Graaff the second season of The Pitt is spot on.

I just checked another box off the Bingo card...damn. It's only the 17th of January. I did not want to see a black dick. No.

I have sausage in the skillet right now...this ain't fucking right.
That was a bit of a shock. I watched it last night and at that part I was like whoa WTF I don’t want to see some dude’s unit

If weird means good, this is good. It's definitely creative. Sci-Fi, about an AI bot enthralled with a TV show...it's the only place I know to start.

Murderbot isn't what it sounds like.
