| OT āš½ Any other Premier League fans here?

Excuse you, no one has looked more like hot garbage than Chelsea, okay? šŸ˜

Seriously though, Liverpool has shown a lot of inconsistency this season, but fortunately for them, everyone has completely one upped them in that regard. Newcastle is once again looking like Newcastle. Man U...HA! In May, I still expect the same old, same old. 1. Man City 2. Liverpool
Newcastle? One of 8 teams with 3 wins in previous 5 games/fixtures/ matches/whatever. And come January?

A lot of know-it-alls in X world think Chelsea won because of all of Newcastle's injuries. Chelsea has been bitten harder by the injury bug. Newcastle's just inconsistent. I don't know if adding Ramsdale is going to help Newcastle, but he's a better option then de Gea.

That didn't age well. Newcastle is now one of only two with 4 losses in their last 5. Not even the relegation group have done that.

Supposedly, a lot of bad stuff will hitting the press in the coming days . . . Cocaine parties, infidelity, and allegations that Joelinton got a 16 year old pregnant.

Chelsea was up 3 - 0 with ten minutes left. Damn! Apparently, Silva is the only one who can defend. Does Poch not work on defending tactics during training? Still got the desperately needed three points.

Also, there's no quit in Luton. They are out to prove everybody wrong and stay up this year.

Villa up to 2nd! Granted, Liverpool has a game in hand, but still. Never saw that coming in August.

And speaking of Luton, Nottingham Forest could be looking a points deduction over FFP. That might be enough to keep Luton up for another season.

Is this when NF completely replaced the team that got it promoted? And how's that worked out?

Yes. It seems they have breached the main rule on FFP regarding team losses over a rolling 3 years period. According to Nottinghamshire Live, the lynchpin in the whole case is former forward Brendan Johnson. Forest claim that his sale should be accounted for within the FFP time frame, while the Premier League disagrees. Counting his sale would bring them back below the threshold for losses. Any points deduction of 5 points or more for them would put them in the relegation zone.

The January transfer window is here and the only transfer I feel certain will happen is that Kalvin Phillips will be leaving City. Not sure where he'll wind up, though.

Just saw where City have sold keeper Zach Steffen to the Colorado Rapids of MLS. Thank goodness. I hope I never see him in Sky Blue again.

Most other activity thus far in the window has been loans, but that's not a surprise. Two of the biggest loan transactions have been Liverpool recalling Rhys Williams and Fabio Carvalho.

Disappointed for Steffan. Thought this was the big break both he and the USMNT really needed. Thank goodness for Matt Turner!
I can't see why he is on the USMNT. The few times I watched him on the pitch for City he was terrible. Even picked up the ball in a Prem game while outside the box, when there was absolutely no stress and no one attempting to press high.

Three or four years ago, Steffan was THE best GK the US had; somewhere his mojo has faded. Hope he turns it around in Colorado.
