I had no idea this was an annual deal. Pretty cool. You know you're special when you get new turk on your practice field every year.

Yeah, as busy as Saban has made football camps since he's been here, there is probably at least 5,000 kids, probably closer to 10k, that trample those fields for several weeks during the summer. Which requires new turf every year...lol.

I know back when I was still coaching, I helped at all the Saban camps a few summer's in a row. And there were at least a thousand at each skills camp, and several hundred, pushing 1k, at just the specialty camps like OL/DL.

Never gave any thought to all the camps sponsored on our field, though I clearly remember the droves of kids walking with equipment during the Summers when I was in school. Guess I had a high school mindset where we practiced on a field about 3/4 grass.

I carried my son to two of those camps last summer and the year before. It was for those ages up to the upcoming 8th graders. There were between 1000-1200 each camp.
