🏈 An Eye on the Clemson Tigers

I said it before and I will repeat it. The opponent that most resembles Clemson is Tennessee, not Ole Piss. I don't understand why these damn media want to make that comparison, other than to try and put Clemson at the same level of success that Ole Piss had.
I agree, I consider Dobbs much more of a running threat and much more Watson like than Chad Kelly.

Watson/Gallman combo has rushed for 2510 yards on 450+ carries combined. Dobbs/Hurd combo rushed for 1985+ yards on 384 carries. Pretty damn close comparison if you ask me! While the Kelly/Walton combo went for 1200+ yards on 249 carries. So tell me again how Clemson is more like Ole Miss!

I agree, probably has something to do with passing ratings considering they are #13 and #14, not to mention Chad Kelly (4.8) has a better rushing ypc than Josh Dobbs (4.6). We've faced some really good QB's this year in the SEC West alone. Ole Miss was missing a running game this year.

Gonna mention this to a few Oklahoma fans in the office. Should make for an interesting conversation.

"He is supposed to be back tomorrow when classes start, but he won't be with us, and as I said down there (in Florida) he's got to grow up," Swinney said. "He's got to make a decision to be a great player at Clemson. But if you are going to be a great player at Clemson then you have to follow the rules. It's just that simple. Otherwise, you have to go somewhere else, so he will figure that out. I hope he will be back tomorrow. We will make the decision that this thing is not about him. It's really not."

"I don't mean this in a negative way, but our walk-ons scored more points than Oklahoma's team in the ballgame. "I think that's a great message to a guy like Deon Cain. Greg Huegel and (Hunter) Renfrow scored 19 points in the game. So that sends a message that we can win without you, and hopefully he will do what he got to do because at some point you have to grow up. If he doesn't want to grow up, then he won't have an opportunity to join this team again. But if he does the things that he needs to do, he will have a chance to come back. It's really on him. I can't do that for him. I can't do it. My job is just to help him grow as a great person and man and that's what I am trying to do. That's my number job to develop these guys into men. It doesn't matter the type of talent they have, I am here to serve their heart, not their talent. That's all I am trying to do with Deon."

I keep hearing people compare the Clemson offense to Ole Miss' and thinking that Clemson can have similar offensive success. But I keep thinking, do people not consider that where this Bama team is now is leaps and bounds beyond where they were when they played Ole Miss?

Also, many of the Ole Miss scores came off of turnovers.

The thing I keep missing is where people point to how many of Ole Miss TD's came inside of the 35. A play that hits a guys helmet turns into a TD. Hey, breaks of the game. I realize they should have thrown a flag on their other TD, but again, breaks of the game.

@planomateo It's interesting to me that people point to the lack of success OU had against Clemson, but fail to note the injuries hitting their running back corps in the game. It's football. It happens. But, like the five turnovers against Ole Miss, it has to be taken into account.

It's like they talk how great OU was, then after the lost. Talking about how the last three games was without key players for the other teams. Must had been reading on here!

Reggie just said sometimes guys would "blow their whole wad" during warm-up and pregame, when answering a question about the difference in preparation during a whole month layover for the BCS Championship game, vs. an 11 day layover in this title game.

Blow their whole wad.

He. Just. Said. That.

On the radio during the last presser here before leaving for Phoenix....

What a soundbyte

@planomateo I check the 13 plays of 50+ yards. Here what I found.
Rushing yards:56, 55, 74, 58.
Passing and Receiving yards: 69, 81, 60, 55, 50.
Punt Return: 69, 72, 57.
He must be counting the punt return, I got this from rolltide.com.

Haven't seen a gd thing about Bama on Sportscenter. All about ******* Clemson and their magical shittastic journey.

I know you don't live in a bubble, @Bammerboy321 , so I am stating the obvious. 98% of the football universe is TIRED of Alabama and will be pulling hard for Clemson. I'm ok with that. Our guys play well with an Us versus the World mentality. The hate is strong, very strong.
