🏈 GAME THREAD 🏈 WEEK TWO: NCAA / SEC Games of the Week- Games begin Friday night.

IF I saw one, I saw a dozen posts praising Underwood going into yesterday. I didn't pay a lot of attention other than thinking, "that's a lot to put on the kid."

Then there's this which comes at no real surprise.

Also, I had birria tacos and just knocked over the birria container. FUCK....
Beef, or lamb? I've heard it made with goat meat.

A bit of a coincidence ... just took some beef short ribs out of the freezer for lunch today.
Like I said before, I expect Florida to try and get him.
It was early on in Saban's tenure I noticed Stricklin. Based on what I've seen and read, I believe he's too petty to consider Kiffin. IF his name is to come up I will strongly suspect it's just to appease: no serious intent.

I'll say this. I could see Stricklin hiring Lane long before I see Alabama welcoming him back...and that's while I'm expecting a cold day in hell for the first part to be true.

I'm not calling for the upset here. Just saying what a difference a week can make ... imagine seeing UF win next Saturday? Stranger things have happened in the LSU vs Florida series.

Imo, if he wants to keep his job he should make a serious effort. Or if they could somehow get lanning(not happening), then that could kill two birds with one stone.

And I've seen fans, and have had friends and family members bring up kiffin for the Alabama job before. And each time, I tell them "No chance." They act flabbergasted, and I have sit there and list off every reason as to why I think it won't happen.

And here's something for you. I talked about it earlier, I've got a buddy back in Florida that is a huge Florida gator fan(he's hurting right now). He got up with me shortly after the game and asked what he thought the chances were that Florida could hire deboer if they couldn't land any of their top targets. I've only recently got back with him on it because that one left me perplexed as to why he'd want him. All I told him is that it was highly unlikely, also told him that I wish it would happen(lol). Just wanted to share that because I audibly laughed out loud when he sent me that, I dont know where his headspace was when asking that.

So, his top 3(that he's told me for now) are Lanning, Kiffin, and Deboer... I guess.
If those are the three their best shot would probably be Kiffin. The only reason to leave Oregon would be money and Lanning in making over 10 million up there. How does Florida afford that one? The buyouts and the new contracts? If I'm not mistaken, the buyouts for their other coaches (before Napier) are still being paid. I don't believe there were "lump sum" renegotiations and I'm pretty sure the original contracts were based on installments if there was a separation. DeBoer wouldn't be any cheaper; maybe more.
That shits gonna be good. I'm jealous, and I'll probably go pick some up tomorrow or Monday now.
My stomach is growling already and I haven't started; anything.

There's a decent BBQ joint within a half of a mile from the house. They are smoking meat this morning. The aroma isn't as strong as burning leaves...but I could smell it as soon as I walked outside a few minutes ago.

It's just a coincidence today is Sunday and I'm using "Holy Gospel" rub from Meat Church.

Years ago I was involved in the launch and operations of GatorCountry.com. That's led to making a couple of good friends down there: good guys to get news about UF.

There's a reason I don't talk to friends on the weekends. First and foremost, weekends are family time with these guys. Secondly, never talk football (especially after a disappointing Saturday) with rival fans until the following week. I'll hear from them Tuesday or Wednesday.

IE: I didn't hear anything about FSU until Tuesday. My phone rang (vibrated) enough that morning to remove paint off of a night stand like sandpaper.

.
I've already had to talk him down on lanning, he seemed to understand the reality on that one. And once he's sobered up( I'm assuming he got shit faced because we've only exchanged texts), it'll probably be a more realistic candidate discussion.... like the guy that just beat them.

And yeah, that's why I was confused on the deboer part, they'd have to give him the same amount were paying now and hope he'd want it, or give him more to entice him to leave. Plus, they'd have to pay his buyout to Alabama. That's one I really want to discuss with him, why deboer big dawg? Lol.

Whenever I'd be coming home from a practice, I would always pass by a BBQ place on the way back home. And that smell, combined with me being extremely hungry after a practice would have me salivating. My sophomore year I had to cut back on calories so I could maintain my weight and not go over it. I had gained about 5-10 pounds before we started spring practice from eating BBQ and just anything else not good for me. I went in the first day for weigh ins before we lifted, I got on the scale and was met with "you fat fuck."

This isn't anything worse or better depending on your perspective.

Hardin's, off Hackberry and 15th? K.I.L.L.E.D. me in the mornings. I lived in three places while in Tuscaloosa and two of them were close to that bakery.

Man, forget that guy. He already said he was going to win three or four Heisman trophies. He's hyped himself more than anyone else. He's arrogant, was the #1 recruit, tripled down on his press and rode that wave. He finally plays so competition and learns the hard way. He's lucky Haynes is a down to Earth humble guy or that situation ends much differently. Had to admit I enjoyed him being humbled some last night by a conference they tall trash about so much up North.

He brought up schumann as a candidate, I was able to bullshit him and talk him out of that being a possibility.
