🏈 🏈 👀 PRE-GAME: Georgia @ Alabama week

Underestimating in my view.

Do they take A&M's approach with stunting? Yah, I think so. Play action has them because they're in pass pro.

Mizzou with crashing safeties? I hope so.

Mac has to keep his head. I believe he will.

I agree. I was high with you in Mac, but he has far outplayed my expectations even though I had lofty ones to start.

@TerryP I assume I am one of those "worried". Seeing UGA's D they look legit especially rushing yards. Look a lot like the Bama D's of old. You can argue the competition for sure. Same goes with the bama offense you can argue we have not played a good defense either. So are our offensive numbers inflated.

Honestly if our D was playing better I would feel better about the entire game. I do expect them to play better this week. I just expect that UGA will be able to slow us down. Historically the Bama D's would hold every team well below the offensive statistical averages because they were skewed with a cupcake game or two. Now I may be projecting my Bama D's of the past onto UGA but they have looked the part.

I would expect a game scoring in the mid to upper 20's.

Great read.

On what Sports Info Solutions defines as "inside rushes," Alabama ranks a distant first in FBS in success rate (64%) and sixth in yards per carry (6.5). The 230-pound Harris has always been a load to bring down, and now he's getting a running start -- among running backs with at least 50 rushes, Harris is both eighth in yards per carry before contact (3.1) and third in yards per carry after contact (3.6). He's never going to be the most explosive back in the world, but he was a man possessed last week against Ole Miss. With the Bama defense struggling to make stops and the Ole Miss defense wearing down, the Tide leaned on Harris. In the second half, he rushed 12 times for 160 yards and added a 24-yard reception.

Great read.

Good stuff.

The only runs that get slowed down are the outside zone runs (running wide) when Najee is aligned offset the QB in the shotgun. It puts Najee too close to the LOS for his talents, and DL can run it down from behind as he cuts upfield towards the LOS.

When Najee gets to align slightly deeper, he is nearly unstoppable and can run through guys for 2-3 yards even when there is no hole whatsoever.
