🏈 🏈 Bama In The NFL - 2025-26 Season Updates & Highlights

New season upcoming, new thread to follow along on the Bama guys... Might as well start it off with this news...

Hopefully. Never underestimate Harbaugh turning into a complete dumbass and going against what's working.

Killed me last year to see he was only 79 yards away from 2000 rush yards.
And there we go. Henry with what? Five carries in the second half? At least four from shotgun formation. Dumb as shit. Ravens D couldn't stop a nosebleed either, so TOP was in the Steelers favor.

Wish Henry was with a better franchise. He deserves a Superbowl ring.

And, Henry and the Ravens lose another gut-wrencher, with Jackson unable to make the Steelers pay for crowding the line in the second half. With the Ravens leaving Henry on the shelf much of the 2H, he still ends the game with an impressive 126 yards - but almost all in the first half - and an agonizing eleven yards shy of the rushing crown.

He ends his tenth year at 1,595 yards and a career total of 13,018 yards. I didn't think he'd make 13,000 a few games ago, so a very strong finish to the season. He cut into the distance to get to Dickerson, now 241 yards away at number nine.

His next hurdles and yards to get there from where he is right now. In parenthesis I've included the player's number of years in the league. Other than Sanders, every player ahead of him played more seasons than Henry, now completing his tenth year. In addition, other than Jim Brown (nine years), the players he passed this year all had more than ten years in the league. Time is certainly running short for Henry, but with conditioning and avoiding major injuries, you could also say time is on his side. He has a real shot at number six next year, and with two decent years can get past Peterson and Sanders for number four. Here's a to a good offseason.

9. Dickerson - 241 yards (14)
8. Bettis - 644 (13)
7. Tomlinson - 666 (12)
6. Martin - 1,083 (16)
5. Peterson - 1,900 (15)
4. Sanders - 2,251(10)
3. Gore - 2,982 (16)
2. Payton - 3,708 (13)
1. Smith - 5,337 (15)

Henry has one year remaining on his contract.

RTR,

Tim

Not Bama, but I'm surprised at this.... not sure the details yet and maybe they did him a solid out of respect, but they could have traded him easily for a decent pick. For you Titans fans though, keep an eye out... they have as good a shot as anyone at getting him due to some relationships.

Mack Jones showing his class in San Fran QB room.

Inside the 49ers' quarterback room, there was no such consternation. The job belonged to Purdy and, as long as he was healthy enough to play near the standard he'd set on his way to landing a five-year, $265 million contract in May, he would reclaim the role.

There was no need for emergency meetings or big declarations from coach Kyle Shanahan, quarterbacks coach Mick Lombardi or anyone else in the organization.

Early in the week, Purdy simply told Jones he was back. Jones responded by welcoming him back and launching into things he'd seen from Arizona's defense in the Week 3 game he started in Purdy's place.

"For me to be able to see that and feel that in a real way, I'll always be appreciative of that," Purdy told ESPN. "Sometimes in this business you can make it weird. But he did not."
