šŸˆ šŸˆ Alabama's Fall Camp~2021

I believe you'll get that chance but I also believe those aren't the "top three" when the team kicks off against Miami.

By whom?

I'm with you here: Williams, Metchie, and Bolden. Jo-Jo turned some heads this summer in 7 on 7's as did Hall, Leary, and hell let's not forget about Holden who's a big possession type guy for Bryce.

While young there's a hell of a lot of talent in the room.

I was thinking JoJo Earle at first, but Christian Leary may swoop in as well. I like Bolden and think he is definitely a guy that can help us, but I wonder if the youth and talent we recruited last year would unseat him. In my mind he is the most vulnerable to losing his spot/snaps. Metchie ain't going anywhere and I think Jameson Williams has his spot due to his speed and a little game experience at Ohio State. Agiye Hall has shown he can play and will be utilized, so you would have to think Bolden is the guy that would lose snaps or be the most vulnerable. Javon Baker was a guy I was really excited to get (Georgia boy), so I'm hoping he can do something this year. We have too much talent for all of them to not see time.

I felt like Kenyan Drake was like that. Even though his speed and talent was way up there, I felt he was kind of eclipsed. Mainly due to injuries mind you, but nonetheless, he never started.

I think Shane Lee, even after being forced into action as a freshman, has been overshadowed by others, To'oto'o, obviously. There have been others who are playing in the NFL/CFL who never really clicked, mostly due to injuries. Cam Sims comes to mind.

Robert Foster as well.

Yes, poor Shane Lee. Very solid ballplayer, thrust into action and performed admirably. Hopefully he'll stick around and get his shot next year as a Redshirt Junior.

Study....there will be a quizz

Wow, might be the first time in a preseason setting I have ever heard coach not say "we have a long way to go" and "a lot of work to do". That leads me to believe this team is getting after it and really not letting last season's success tarnish their desires for this team.

Absolutely pumped to hear that about Trey Sanders. I know others have said that on here, but to hear it from the horses mouth and his glowing praise for where Sanders is is huge.

To'oto'o getting that kind of praise after two months? What does that say about the guy.

Sheesh, getting very very excited to watch this defense. I think we get back to more of a dominating approach, no matter what has been said about current offenses. I see more dominating talent this year than I have seen in about five in Tuscaloosa. We have a couple of edge guys that can get home, run stuffers in the middle, linebackers that are instinctive, fast, and can tackle, and a secondary building on some experience with plenty of depth. I don't think we have that Surtain/Fitzpatrick/Harrison/McKinney/Barron type name back there, but we have some headbusters in Battle, Wright, Hellams, Moore, and Branch, speed in Armor-Davis, and a technician in Jobe. Boy I'm pumped!

I wish just one of the media members would report

"during the viewing period I saw the Bama punters standing on the 50 and he was kicking the ball into the bleachers hitting the Dr Pepper team that was practicing for this season"

and the guy catching the punts is a BFD since a couple of fumbles will kill you. Anybody in here that was at Legion in 90 to see Southern beat Bama because Bama couldn't catch a punt (back to back).

Was there and they had some clown name Farve on their team.

I'm excited for Kendal Randolph... He's been an awesome blocking TE over the years and now has a legit chance to win that RT spot. That's big time!

He gives that OL a ton of flexibility for if/when Latham or Brockermeyer (or whoever) is ready to take snaps at RT, Randolph can move back to TE or even one of the other OL spots.

Thanks for all the updates! RTR
