Bobby Humphrey held the Crimson Tide record with 2,016 in 1986 -- 1,471 rushing yards, 201 receiving yards and 344 kickoff-return yards. Humphrey had another 159 rushing yards and 43 receiving yards in the 1986 Sun Bowl that did not count in his official statistics. Humphrey still holds the school record for all-purpose yards per game with an official average of 168 in 1986. Richardson's 160.2 yards per game in 2011 ranks fifth on the Alabama list, also trailing David Palmer in 1993, Shaun Alexander in 1999 and Humphrey in 1987.
