I know it's voted on by the players, but seems to me that with him not bailing out and staying with his team, then heroically willing them to an SEC Championship would warrant a spot for him.

Voting was done before the SEC Championship. They can't make those plaques, trophies and framed items in two days.

In Tua's case, when was the last time a true sophomore was named permanent team captain? I think I would have been surprised if he was named.

Well...either r or arent....when i dont know,.....but i doubt that is a limitation....

Aren't captains supposed to be seniors? Jalen is a Jr... so I would understand why no vote if that is the case.

Well, can't be seniors only as Minkah was named permanent captain as a junior last year. So was Rolando McClain as a junior. I don't know if it's limited to upper-classmen but I think it is, at the very least, weighed more heavily towards them. I'm gonna go back and look over the last ten years.
