i must preface this statement by saying that i've never been much of a sunshine pumper. but i've been watching all these teams play this year and i have to say i think Alabama is going to break a stick off in both sets of tigers this year.
LSU's offense is HORRIBLE... we have jordan jeffersons number. he basically quit the game out of fear last year and we are in his head. there is no way he leads an LSU team to more than 13 points in this game. the other QB is ok, but will throw picks if you make him throw too many passes. their defense will slow Alabama down marginally but not enough. Bama 20 LSU 6
Auburn, as we all know, is a one-trick pony. They are playing backyard, busted play football and making it look good. But most backyard busted play offenses turn to crap when they are faced with a disciplined, sound defense that has speed. Alabama's D has gotten better every week since the SC debacle and i expect that the Barn will have a lot of difficulty moving the ball consistently... much like they had a hard time with LSU's D. Where they will find it especially difficult is in the red zone where i think Bama's D will stuff them. Our secondary can cover their receivers with only the Adams kid being in need of an extra man here and there. that leaves most of our LBs able to keep the pocket formed and keep Newton bottled up and unable to rip off so many big runs up the middle which is where he is KILLING teams.
In addition, the barn's D will NOT be able to stop Alabama's offense. Our guys will run wild on them.
Bama 42 Barn 24
in this last stretch of games, i'm actually as concerned with missy state as any of them. they have a very good running game and could hold the ball a lot and kick field goals and make the game close for a while. if alabama comes out flat, it could be bad.
