Personally, between Notre Dame, Kansas State and Orgeon, I'd prefer to play Notre Dame if the chips continue to fall in our favor. It'd be a "classic" old school BCS championship. Anyone have prefs?

I think thats the ultimate matchup they want. With all one loss teams to pick from, they can pretty much make a case for anybody. We owe ND bigtime. This will be the best possible matchup for the media and the fans and the economy. You know what i mean? Nobody wants to see a kstate vs.oregon NC game.

IN 73 we had them backed up in their own endzone and they completed a long pass and went on to win. We had them right where we wanted em but we let it slip away.

well that can't be it because i was not yet an embryo... :lol: but i looked back at scores and i think it was the game where Tim Brown torched us in every conceivable way and we got be 37-6 or something like that.

this will be possibly the only time in my life where i will pull for nd in a football game. beat uscw and meet us out behind the woodshed and receive your beating. circle button is going to have a field day with them.

If you ask this question at the beginning of the season, the answer from most would still be Notre Dame.

Now looking ahead..... if the Irish lose to USC (whom they have only beaten once in what???? The last decade, I think?) could they still retain a #1 or #2 spot? I'm thinking - and correct me if I am wrong - that the NCAA Gods would really prefer an Alabama/Irish BCS over any other combo. Realizing that, favorable voting could keep it alive (in the event of a Irish loss). Of course... that being said... the Dawgs are certainly not going to be a push over in the SEC final so all that number trickery could be for not if the Bama boys don't collar the Bulldogs.

If we beet them 77-3, Lou would claim Notre Dame to be the better team and that we got lucky to beat them. He is such a Notre Dame homer. He even does it with Arkansas and South Carolina.

All of that asside, I would love to see us play the domers for the NC.

You are thinking about the Cotton Bowl Bama played against Texas. The QB foot was on the line and he went on the way to score the winning TD. I think it was the 1981 Cotton Bowl Bama 12 Texas 14.

Notre Dame, no question. There is no better revenge than revenge on the national stage. I really like Te'o but I cannot STAND the team as a whole and I find it unbelievable they have made it undefeated this far. Close games with Purdue, BYU, Pitt (?!?!?), hell even BC should have been a blow out, BC is godawful. I think everyone has hopped onto the ND bandwagon, claiming their win over the mighty Wake Forest was "huge" and "showing that they are worthy of the NC. Get real. Not that WCU is any prize but SEC teams have tougher schedules. I hope they beat USC, if only so we can destroy them in the NC.

Just think: America freakin' loves ND right now. An ND-Bama championship would be us against the world, pretty much. Not to mention everyone hates the SEC .. I can't WAIT to make everyone eat some well-deserved crow.
