šŸˆ Alabama visits Auburn.

woes may be harsh but dont tell me MSU did not control LOS
Bama has averaged 6 yards per carry this season (including the FCS and OOC games.) They averaged 5.5 against MSU. So they are controlling the line of scrimmage...how?

Out of the 38 rushes, two went for no gain. There wasn't a single loss of yardage with any running back. But, controlling the line of scrimmage...how?

Sure there were some sacks. It's funny how that happens when the defense has one or two--at times three--more players than Bama had blockers. That's not Mississippi State controlling the line of scrimmage.

I just read a position by position analysis and lo and behold Jalen Hurts and Stidham are considered a wash at the position at QB. Absolutely, even-steven. The returning offensive player of the year in the SEC and undefeated in the regular season in 2 years and he can't get a lean against a QB that up into the LSU loss couldn't rally his team through the air or on the ground twice this season in the biggest of games. Yep, that Stidham.
Where did you see that? I can see someone going back and forth up to a point. Add in the QB's as a unit and it's arguable Bama's back-up is a top 10 SEC QB.

(Hell, most of these talking don't recall Stidham was recruited as a WR at most schools because of his lack of footwork.)

Stidham gets rattled under pressure. Oops. I guess they missed that one.

**Side note: Listening to ESPN radio and the like over the last few days and you'll get a total different take on the game versus what you're seeing on TV. It's a different demographic, I know. It's a demographic where the vast majority of the listeners see through the agenda (building hype) seen on TV.**

@TUSKstuff Ya know, thinking more about what you posted here ...

If we want to do comparisons, position to position, I don't see AU having any advantage from any offensive unit: QB, RB, WR, or OL.

In fact, I can only see really one unit where they have the advantage--defensive line vs defensive line. (LB's will be answered Saturday.)

About the ā€œBama periodā€.

**Gus Malzahn and/or Chip Lindsey will have some smoke dialed up. AU has a "bama" period at practice throughout the season. You will see something(s) you haven't seen all year.

Al.com on the position by position match up. And I don't see it either if we are using stats or the eye test. What else is there?

What I do see is matching up with a barner team much better than we did vs Miss St. They dig the long ball and I think our D-backs will be the most important matchup in the game.

Crimson-colored glasses or not, I'm buying that al.com crap about both OL and DL advantages for the barn.

This is so auburn you should’ve typed it in orange and blue.

I haven't been buying into the hype and looking at stats and participating in discussion. I've honestly been too busy. But man, this game makes me nervous. Just had to come by and say so. Maybe someone can put my mind at ease but until that scoreboard reads 00:00 and we have more points, i feel like I'll be nervous as hell.

This game has always make me nervous. But I also live 40 miles form that cow town, and the TV station I'm going to watch the game on it's a pro awburn town. It a Georgia town !!

1) When everybody is riding allbarn's jock they flop. 2) Nick Saban has the ammo he needs to motivate (Miss State and first part of #1). 3) Jarrett S. can spin the ball but his running is OK which is not enough.

I'm hoping we see a lot of Irv Smith tomorrow. I think he will be a great option and create a matchup issue for Auburn's backers. If we can use Damien Harris, Jacobs, and Irv Smith, I think we weather the initial storm and can wear them down with our offensive depth, and give the depleted defense a chance to rest. I am really excited to see what Daboll comes up with. I will beyond disappointed and pissed the f off if we come out vanilla and soft or with any we've shown in recent games.
