I've been trying to find a comparison for Hill-Green since his named popped up for us. After about a week of watching his film, I think I can say he reminds me of Channing Tindall. Both are exceptional at playing downhill, sticking their nose in their gap, and popping someone. Both have violent hands, and use them efficiently when shedding off their blockers. Both have phenomenal closing speed when running to the football. Both sometimes can struggle in coverage, but still have the ability to make plays when needed. And finally, both have that innate ability to diagnose a play down and make an impactful play.

This is just what I've seen from what I've been able to gather. Who doeyhe remind you of?

And while I'm on the topic of ILB's, wanted to go over how we sit in next year's room. Likely have Lawson back, so that's a clear cut starter. But who's gonna get that spot next to him? It's gonna be fun to watch it unfold during the spring, we've got a ton of talent sitting there that could get that spot. Jeremiah Alexander is a guy I think could push for that starting spot, he's looked pretty good when he's been able to see the field. Another is Justin okoronkwo, guy is a thumper like Hill-Green.... just a bit more raw at the position, but he'll be a good one. Then there's cayden Jones, Sterling Dixon, and Qb Reese in there as well. Maybe one of the freshman coming in? I've talked about him before, but I'm super high on Luke Metz as a player..... kid is gonna be a stud.

Ultimately, I think the starters will be Lawson & Hill-Green, and Alexander & okoronkwo as the reserves to start the season, but we'll see. Dont count out Alexander for that starting spot, he has a good spring, it could be his.

And one last thing since it just crossed my mind, since Justin Jefferson came from junior college, would it be possible for him to try and get another year with us after the pavia court ruling? Thanks in advance.

No he can't. That's only for players not at Alabama!

"Make sure that you're making the decisions for the right reasons," Booker said when asked about advice he'd give to potential portal departures. "Don't say, 'Oh, my coach doesn't like me, I'm not going to play here.' Maybe you're not playing for a reason. Maybe you just need to get better. You need to really self-reflect before you make a life-altering decision so quickly."

I saw somewhere that Jefferson was leaning to coming back.

It is a data point. Only one but one nonetheless. Not one that needs to be allowed to continue. You guys can keep putting lipstick on the pig if you want to but this is a trend that if it continues will be an issue. I am willing to give CKD one year of this but after that he needs to right that ship and put the barn back where they belong with regards to in state recruiting.

You're beating this to death when it has been explained what happened.

CKD came in late. He didn't get a chance to build a relationship with high schools. He was playing catch up. I have every confidence he will do whats best for the program. I also want to point out that sometime we don't need state of Alabama... When we have much better talents elsewhere. Saban spoke on this few years ago..

So kinda chill. You been finding a way to complain about why ckd didn't do this and that lately.

Isn't it the GM's job to do all of this so DeBoer can coach? A good 9-10 months on the job to set up for a good 12th month. Anyways, may not always need that Alabama talent, but when you do, it's nice to have a track record of success and not letting your arch-rival just take it.

I assume you are referring to the point of over half of the Auburn class are transfers?

Read my post again, I talk about if this is a trend and said give him a pass year one but he needs to correct it going forward. C:KD does not need to lose recruiting in the state of Alabama. Surely we can agree on that from a big picture view. Time will tell if this is a one year deal or not. It is one datapoint but not a favorable one.

Honestly I have no idea where the Auburns recruiting class came from. I just saw the graphic that showed Bama getting 0 of the top ten in state recruits and the barn getting 8 of 10. Nothing more to it than that. Sahying it is ok for Bama to get 0 and the barn getting 8-10 and saying it is ok was the lipstick on a pig comment.

I will add to my comments, until I saw that graphic I did not know it was that lopsided in state. I quit worrying about recruiting when CNS was at Bama. I only follow it at a macro view based on are they filling their position needs and what does the overall ranking look like, Since CKD was at the top of the rankings for several weeks before losing a few at the end it seemed like business as usual.
