The University of Alabama athletic department committed 27 NCAA secondary rules violations over the past year, according to a summary on the school's website Tuesday.
Secondary violations are about impossible not to break. Think of it like this, walk through a cow pasture full of cows and NOT step in cow shit!! The rule book is SOOOOOOOOO stinking long!!
Then where is that on AJC? They had Alabama's "violations" as one of the headlines yesterday on ajc.com. Also how about you know who? B'ham News seemed proud to report our 27, but with open records where is that other school's disclosure? I can't believe I'm even asking for fair journalism.
I don't believe our report was requested; simply released.
Not sure where Finebaum pulled his Georgia numbers though. The last report I saw on the Bulldogs Richt's actions were considered as "generosity and compassion toward his staff" because he was paying them money out of his own pocket. That was due to a FOIA request but it was also last year around the end of November or the first of December.
