Alabama's efforts to overhaul its offensive line in the 2014 recruiting cycle have resulted in the Crimson Tide landing commitments from several of the nation's most highly-rated linemen. They have also landed the Tide at the No. 1 spot on 247Sports' rankings of the top offensive line recruiting classes in the nation.
The 247Sports rankings cite the Alabama offensive line group for both its high number of commitments (six players) and the high rankings for each player in the group. Alabama's offensive line class includes the nation's No. 1 high school offensive tackle Cameron Robinson, No. 1 junior college tackle Dominick Jackson, and both the No. 1 and 2 ranked centers, JC Hassenauer and Josh Casher.
The group also includes the nation's No. 6 offensive tackle in Iowa star Ross Pierschbacher and the No. 23 offensive guard Montel McBride from Plant City, Florida.
The Crimson Tide also currently hold the No. 2-ranked linebacker and defensive line units in the nation according to 247Sports.
