šŸˆ Alabama Memorabilia Estate Sale

@50+yeartidefan my wifes mom was a lot like this. Her mom would go to Unclaimed baggage daily when they put out new stuff. When she passed it was amazing the stuff she had that basically all went to goodwill, They grew up in east Tn before moving to North Alabama after her dad graduated from college.

I’m having trouble breathing while looking at this photo, can someone grab me a paper bag? And pronto!

I don’t think I could walk in that room, though I’m sure there’s some interesting paraphernalia.
Ah....bad news...you ( and myself) wouldn't be allowed in room... i had to sneak in to get pictures. .... the woman....who i celebrated 54 anniversary with this week...collects ....EVERYTHING.....or so it seems

Do y'all have ReStore shops? Affiliates, largely, with Habitat for Humanity? Here it's basically a recycle store for construction things...picked up a bit for my drill last week for .20...if I ever need to thread a cable line through the wall, I'm set. I'm going to use it to pre-drill holes for a small barrier wall I'm going to make with landscaping ties...but, the same bit would have been $12 or so new. I'm good with the two dimes.

The grocery store paper bag of books for a $1 ... I'm good with that as well.

Yes. ReStores are close by. I am sure if there is junk. They hit them

Water diversion?
Along those lines, yes. I built a cinder block wall on the back/front of the ditch side of the mailbox years ago. While only one person has ran into that ditch (oh boy, that is a story) the wall is breaking down. It's more about the look than it is the water though the reason for the wall in the first place was the water.

I got this idea in the back of my head about a running rose bush backed by Clematis...securing that on the wall of the timbers with a trellis. I think I can do that with red and yellow intertwined. Bottom line, I have too many rose bushes. The one I'm thinking of using ... cut off of a ball I moved with the storm damage. One bush root I cut into three parts.

Evergreen Clematis on a trellis...with running roses that'll bloom yellow and red. Clematis blooms here depending on fert spring to fall.

It's going to be one of those springs at my house...planning to replace gutters, painting shutters and doors...the place won't look the same in a few months with the "color schemes."

(oh boy, that is a story)
It was 12:30 or so in the morning. Someone was banging on my door. NOT ringing the doorbell, but banging on my door.

I looked at my video feeds to see who was in the front yard. At my door is a guy that's almost six and a half feet, weighs in the 300 range. I do what every smart American would. I turned off the motion lights in the back, went out the back door and around to the front ...

... carrying my shotgun.

He'd just ran into the ditch and couldn't get out. He's a 17 year old kid too damn big for his body...in his mom's car.

Banging on a door like that is the shit that gets people killed. Same thing I said to him that night...

I need to enlist Ms.50+ in my army of scouts canvassing for 80’s BMX bikes. Sounds like she frequents some places that occasionally have relics like that. A lot more fun than Beanie Babies!
This is down in Daphne, starts next Thursday, I'm not a bike guy but these are out of the ordinary.

Nice! I need to get into estate sales. That guy has some unique rides in that sale, just not my style. I guess I could have said, not my speed. But if it’s 80’s 20 inch or 24 inch, I like it. Hutch, GT, JMC, Race Inc, Murray, Redline, Diamond Back, Dyno, Kuwahara, MT Racing, DG, Cooks Bros, Robinson, National Pro, GJS. The old classics!

The search feature for that website is pretty good. Start with the keywords you want, then narrow down the geographic area. Some sales have better descriptions than others.
