He could very well be the top lineman at Bama next season. Top two, no doubt, IF he remains healthy.I'll be shocked if he ever sees the field.
You won't find yourself alone in thinking this way but those around him at FSU and those involved in his transfer back to Bama have mentioned he'll be competing in the fall. He can, and has, played every position on the offensive line.
In the end, even if he's just a back-up this season, he's a hell of player to add to the depth on the line. Consider this for a second. If Matt's foot and conditioning isn't back to where it needs to be we could easily be seeing to two compete for the right guard spot (at least for the first four games, if not longer.)
