Brandon Austin played hard while he was in there. Obasahan was a warrior. Everyone else played like they were terrified to be on the court in the spotlight. I am surprised at how bad Norris's offense has been the last two games.

I don't think he even shot against MSU. Puzzling, huh.

Maybe during the off-season Avery can cure Dr. Jekyll of Mr. Hyde. Overall, the team doesn't generally shoot well. I know people say "Defense, defense, defense" but it seems like the teams that shoot the best win the most.

Also, if you haven't played all night, and haven't warmed up since half time, then you enter the game in the final two minutes, how do you warm up to shoot? I'm just wondering. Not making excuses for Shaffer, but... Well, okay, I'm making excuses for Shaffer.

If you are going to win without shooing well, you need to do everything else well. Rebound, go after loose balls, avoid turnovers.

Shafer is the only one who has an excuse. I would not be surprised to see Austin get more minutes the rest of the season.

I did not see the game last night so I can't comment much on that. I do believe CAJ is going to a great coach for us and has already exceeded my expectations. He did say , I think before the season started, that there would be games where we would look good and play pretty well and other games that would probably be painful to watch, and look bad. He was talking about the inconsistent play he was witnessing in practices and now in most games this year so far , the up and down play from game to game from several of our players. Hopefully, as time and years go by, with CAJ's style and quality of coaching and the development of "his" players he will be able to put a more consistent and quality team on the floor.

I listened to most of the game on the radio and then saw just a little bit on TV. UK took our players to the woodshed and delivered an old fashioned whipping. I was not real happy with the outcome of the game but the overall season record is better than I expected.

We didn't match UK last night in physicality on the boards. Rebounding is all about desire and positioning. Like @psychojoe said, outside of 2-3 kids, everyone played like they were scared of the spotlight or were about to piss their shorts!!
