Worth a listen, he's on for the first 10 mins. He talks about Clowney's recent headlines, Alabama's discipline, and Coach Saban's ability to break down 5*'s.

He also mentions how people around the country don't get/appreciate Alabama football. The biggest misconception about Alabama doing whatever it takes, how Alabama is one of the most disciplined teams in the country.

I know some of you don't care for Herbsteit here, but I've always enjoyed his perspective on football.

Yeah, me too. He's better than most and what still gets me about him, he picked the barn to win the NC in 2010. I don't remember anyone, beside the always disillusioned barners, thinking that but him.

I remember laughing when he made that statement.

I have always liked him a lot. These past couple of years though he has gotten on my nerves a pretty good bit because his homer Ohio State blood is showing more and more during broadcasting Gameday and his Primetime games. I personally think he is more jealous of the SEC and hearing about us so so much that he is attempting to cool down the hype. With all that aside, he does know his football, and he is one of the personalities I like when he's being unbiased.

I don't see him as being an Ohio State homer at all. Matter of fact a strong amount of the Buckeye fan base see him as someone who isn't loyal enough.

Hell, when he decided to move to Nashville a few years back I remember reading that people said it was for him to get away from their crazy fans who felt like he should be more loyal.

I think he's one of the best in the business.

BamaFan615,

Listen to him the last two years. He is blatantly pining for his Buckeyes and gushes about them whenever he can.

You're right that some don't consider him as die hard as they think, but that's also the delusional part of the fan base that doesn't understand his professional position. He is very protective over his Buckeyes and it's not hard to see during his broadcasts that he's very partial.

Don't get me wrong, he is one of the best. I admit this much, but lately with this SEC train going crazy, he's taken to his Buckeyes and defends them more so that any other team, especially when he covers them primetime.
