If you look at the statement of āall lives canāt matter until black lives matterā it is actually true. There is a difference in this vs āyour life doesnāt matter until black lives matterā. Until every skin color matters, then all lives canāt matter.
I get what you're saying...but why not just say that all lives matter? Would that not include black lives, as well?
Some people call white people the devil, and racist, supporters of slavery, and all manner of other derogatory terms. But what have I done to warrant being called that? I've never owned slaves. I've never known anyone who owned slaves. I don't know anyone who WAS a slave. Slavery ended over 150 years ago. Show me someone, ANYONE, who is alive today that was alive back then; and who was either a slave or a slave owner.
Are their racists in this world? Yes, absolutely. Am I one? No. I don't care what color your skin is. If you're a good person, then you're a good person. If you're a piece of shit, then you're a piece of shit.
And if I try to tell someone that blacks are killed by other blacks more than any other type of person, be it white, a cop, or anyone else, I get called a racist and that I'm ignoring the bigger issue. Well what's the bigger issue? Is there something bigger than blacks killing other blacks (with regard to this topic). It's true that white people have killed black people. But black people have also killed white people. Yes, cops have killed black people. But black people have also killed cops. Hell, cops kill more white people than they do black people. So far this year, cops have killed almost twice as many white people than they have black people. But no one seems to be outraged by that. They're only screaming about "all the black people that are being killed by cops". And we have the media to thank for that. When a black person is killed, they get national, breaking, news stories. If a white person is killed, it's a small mention about it for 2 minutes on the local news and then they move on.
I don't see any marches or protests happening for the number of white people being killed by cops. So black lives are getting prioritized over all the other lives. They talk about equality, but they don't want equality if it takes the focus off of them.
