How the BCS Looks Going into Week 6.

Over the past 48 hours I've seen and heard a lot of NCAA football fans make the statement, "Alabama is currently ranked #2 in the country."
That's true, in a sense, because the Associated Press Top 25 does has Alabama ranked as the 2nd best team in the FBS division of college football. In the grand scheme of things, unless you are a fan of split-national championships, it means very little as of today, September 30th.
However, we can draw some conclusions about how the BCS standings would look like if they were released today. It's something that Alabama fans might want to take note of even though two computer polls aren't released for a few more weeks.
