Expected for him to go since he took the UGA job. Other schools would have been a downgrade for Cochrane.

I'm a bit surprised UGA made that decision this soon. I would have thought they had 3 or 4 guys ahead of Kirby.

Literally anybody. He was a fan favorite and the players loved him (so I have heard), but his S/C wasn't anything special that the next guy can't duplicate.

Furk, I could handle losing Kirby, but losing Cochran sucks. Tons of players that came through UA the last few years, give all the credit to Cochran for their work ethic and physicality. Cooper was actually the most recent one I remember.

Losing Kirby was expected, albeit not this soon (I was hoping for after this weekend).

He will coach this weekend, then we move on as expected... nothing really new here guys.

Then, we had Kent Johnston as our strength coach and everyone thought he was the world's greatest strength coach and we would never be able to replace him.

Smart will coach against UF this weekend. Then we have a month to get use to him not being on the sidelines... it will be alright. I'm sure most players would have expected this as well.
