My rules for chiliā¦
I only eat it in the fall and winter (unless itās a chili dog which can be enjoyed 12 months a year⦠albeit thatās usually more of a meat sauce as opposed to a chili).
Must have a ton of meat. When making it, as soon as you think youāve added too much meat, go ahead and add more. Beans are fine. Texas style is fine. I donāt care but prefer beans.
Iāll occasionally add shredded cheese and/or sour cream on top.
Frito scoops are sometimes used. Regular saltines. Or probably my favorite, throw in some oyster crackers.
Iām down with the different variations⦠conecuh added⦠brisket added⦠etc.
