What would be the result of a 6-lost 2008 season on the various coaches around the SEC? Who would be in trouble? Who could survive?

Speaking in terms of schools other than Alabama, the most heat would be on Fulmer. Miles and Spurrier would have to deal with disappointment in their fan bases but wouldn't be on the proverbial hot seat. Richt and Meyer would be safe, all around. The rest of the SEC teams would take it in stride.

Miles would have left for Michigan the day after Christmas.
Tuberville would be on the block fo' sho.
Croom (beating Old Piss), "we won four games, YEAH!"
Croom (losing to Old Piss): Bryan brothers pork and Sanderson Chickens are watching the contract run out.
Nutt would have 365 days to redeem himself wether he beat state or not.
Petrino: nothin' much, it was all Nutt's fault.

Interesting topic.

I will answer like this:

SEC West
Alabama-Saban-Survive(Still have a young unproven team)
Arkansas-Petrino-Survive(First year coach)
Auburn-Tubberville-In Trouble(Could survive b/c of new offense)
LSU-Miles-Survive(Too much talent to blame inexperienced QB, but he just won the MNC)
MSU-Croom-In Trouble(He has actually got more talent now than last year)
Ole Miss-Nutt-Survive(First year coach)
SEC East
Florida-Meyer-In trouble(After winning it all, he would have progressively gotten worst with good talent)
Georgia-Richt-Survive(He was not expected to be as good as he was last year so if he has a down year, he may get a pass)
Kentucky-Brooks-In trouble(His team lost a whole lot, but he is expected to be prepared each year-could survive or retire)
South Carolina-Spurrier-In Trouble(Too much time to turn the team around-it would be time to go)
Tennessee-Fulmer-In Trouble(Based on his "lifetime" contract, he would not have met his required win total)
Vanderbilt-Johnson-In trouble(Can't get it done)

I'd have to say Fulmer. Along with the nice raise comes even bigger expectations. There is still a big bunch of grumbling UT fans that think Fulmer can't get it done without Cutcliffe calling the offense.
