🧑‍🤝‍🧑 / 🏡 A phone photo thread...

I expanded my carbon footprint today, burning leaves, pine straw and duff ahead of planting ground cover.
To my knowledge I've never heard "duff" used in this context. I got it by reasoning; Duff beer, designated ugly fat friend came from a movie awhile back...I heard it used for a girl getting pregnant. THAT threw me for a loop; but got the context.

Burning trash. Just a bunch of crap.

Did you have to call ahead and tell someone? We were "blasted" that PSA recently although I believe the fire warning is over.

Decaying vegetable matter covering the ground under trees. It's a real word that I've read for years, perhaps it's always in an outdoor/hiking/trail construction context.

I told no one. We are unincorporated in the county. Almost everyone burns their leaves; I just decided to have about five piles at the top of the bank along with a neat row in the ditch. A little lighter fluid helped me get it off to a nice start.

Great! Salt Lick at Driftwood. Brisket, pork ribs and sausage, wife got the sliced turkey. Potato salad and slaw were both quite unique, and good. Used the sauce very sparingly, not at all on the brisket or sausage, sweet. I’ll drop a plate photo.

This looks really good. I wouldn't go back.

Now, if the slaw and potato salad were in their own bowls? Yeah, now we're eating again. Seriously, you take a bite of slaw which pushes the salad into the beans and vice versa.

'Dim' folks will tell ya beans don't go in chiii. Someone need to tell those tea-sips beans don't go in potato salad either.
