šŸˆ A coach (from A&M of all places) on the craziness of the NIL.

Has that potential for sure....
May be one of the most serious problems to manage in the future for HCs
Yep the HC that can manage egos and convince them that helping the team is what is best for them will succeed. I think we have a coach with a pretty good track record doing this for sure. Although not portal he has certainly had great players that he has convinced to buy into the team first for them to get the most value for themself.

A&M is in an interesting situation for sure. They sold their souls for what might be only one good recruiting year. A room full of kids who think they can make money just for existing is highly likely.
Can jimbo manage it....
Or are boosters going to manage....
Boosters giving money n cars...and thats who they want to see on field...thats who they demand on field..
And rest of team sees the better player....on sideline

@mando
Boosters cant manage Nick.... arent going to get their demands...
We are lucky for a few more years..

We've seen how well Jimbo does at that!
I remember when Winston was not playing against Clemson. Because he did something off the filed. But he tried to sneak on the side line. He didn't do a very well job. Because the broadcaster kept the camera on him all the time. I think it took Fisher to get him off the sideline.

Where did this start? The "NCAA NIL rules?" There are none. There's a policy with guidance, but there are no NCAA NIL rules.
From their website

NCAA Name, Image, Likeness Rule
It repeatedly calls them policies and rules, not guidance. It also mentions several times that pay to go to a specific school is a violation.

In the second paragraph it says the NCAA doesn't override state laws. A little later on it goes into a little detail about how schools control their own policies.

The "rule," if you will, the NCAA passed allows for NIL deals. However, the NCAA is not writing the legislation here on how the NIL is used. As example, while Florida law doesn't allow schools to take an active role in setting up NIL deals the law in Ohio is different: Ohio State has a department dedicated to securing this deals for their athletes.

What A&M has done/is doing isn't wrong. It's within state law. The law in Alabama is being rewritten in the House right now.

The "pay for play" rule has been on the books for some time now. That hasn't changed.

All that said, there's a reason why all these deals are different. There is no governing body/rule stating how each school is supposed to handle their NIL deals. As you can see, they differ from state to state to state.

Nick and Bama will not be immune to the problems that paying players will bring.

College football sucks now. Money ruins everything, and it ruined a once passionate and great sport. ESPN Sucks. 95% of bowl games suck. The playoff system sucks. The stupid fucking rules that got rid of good defense suck. The NIL sucks. Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit definitely both suck. College gameday sucks now. Auburn still sucks. Lee Corso should have retired in two thousand fucking eight.

Big money has done to this great sport what an average Joe does to his toilet after eating 10 Chalupas from Taco Bell. Big money has spread its cheeks and pressure hosed this sport with projectile diarrhea. All the while, all those disgusting fucks at ESPN, the NCAA, and the conference leaderships continue to find ways to make this sport even more shittier than the year before.

Its like all these commissioners and Big TV assholes all sit in a room and think to themselves "Hey Bill, how can we make this sport worse than the year before? More useless bowl games? Yes! More stupid rules that make it better for the QBs? Double Yes! An expanded playoff? That might be the dumbest fucking thing ever Bill, but lets do it anyway and make the regular season completely suck. What's this you say, more national championship games on Monday night? Well its not like I have to worry about working on Tuesday morning, I'll be sleeping in and get my dick sucked by some braud at my country club."

Fuck ESPN, Fuck the NCAA, and definitely fuck Disney. If anyone from Disney every reads this ridiculous over-the-top tirade, please know that if I ever found Mickey Mouse lurking in my home, I would take the little shit and put him in my garbage disposal just to spite every last one of you motherfuckers who work for Disney.
