🏈 2026 Alabama Roster Management Chart and Portal news

Another downstream effect from so much player attrition is the diminished familiarity between fans and players, which will probably result is less fan interest, less player-fan engagement, and fewer side revenue streams for players. I mean, who wants to "follow" a new transfer player or subscribe to a podcast with players you barely know?

CKD kept folks on board in spring and that was a talking point for how good of a job he was doing. So what is the difference now? BTW not surprised with this and NIL just asking what was successful after spring game versus now? More players with reality of where they fall in the NIL money and depth chart? Maybe some being ask to leave?

We sorta cover this every portal season now, but yes and yes. This is the biggest (now only) portal window... sorta like the early signing day most all the action happened. But you've got players that know they won't play (there's a reason I put the 150 play minimum on the roster chart at the start of this thread... it gives a pretty good visual of guys that are not getting playing time (minus injured players like Russaw for example) on a team where coaches substitute players and play backups at a very liberal rate. Also, some guys get offers from other schools that are too hard to pass up... offers that Bama won't match. That is happening too. And yes, some are "encouraged" to move on to free up spots (and in some cases money) for new players that will be brought it.

I need this just to keep up with the ones leaving Bama. Dang Bama has a kicker in the portal.

  • Kameron Howard: DB
  • Roq Montgomery: OL
  • Richard Young: RB
  • Jaylen Mbakwe: WR
  • Joseph Ionata: C

First post. First page.

I have read that A&M was offering Formby 1.5 million. Is that something you have heard?

I don't know amounts other than they are significant. Several teams are trying to get him... A&M and LSU among them. Wolford is at LSU now under Kiffin, and he recruited Formby at UA. Ironically, the previous LSU staff under Kelly wanted Formby last year at this time.

I know it's at least 7 figures I don't know the exact numbers but LSU offered him $1mi+ last year and expect him to command around that this year. The move is purely based on Formby wanting to move to tackle and Bama saying we will only play him at Guard. It's not based on money IMO

Yes, to both. I just don't know the exact amounts being offered... and I'm (personally) usually wary of what gets thrown out there and reported unless I hear it from someone I trust.

So losing 5 OL, besides those going pro or graduating…ummmm…who are we targeting? I haven’t seen one on the target board yet.

A couple have been reported on... but most won't leak out until visits are set. A lot going on right now but it isn't something that must be rushed... they just have to make sure they get it right.
