🏈 2026 Alabama Roster Management Chart and Portal news

It's not about who has connections within the program. It's more of a common sense based on what I've seen.

If you go back and listen to the players and coaches talking about Ryan Williams all season long, you can connect dots from there. Combined with what the moderators on this board and it's pretty much easy to figure it out.

Then if you watch the tape using sky cast perspective that's available on YouTube tv, you can watch Ryan Williams throughout the game. He was open several times and he ran his routes. His routes wasn't always clean at times. I've seen unfair criticisms toward Proctor and yet he's all American. Fromby and yet he has graded out pretty good the last few games. Vandermark and yet he has been playing hurt. Miller and yet he is a fighter. People wanted CKD and Wommack fired but yet they continue to show up and trust process.

My biggest thing is let's not assume something about a player or a coach that we know nothing about.

I understand your comment about Proctor and have said the same. These voters look at five stars and do anything they can to insert them into awards lists.

My biggest issue with Williams is he isn't using his hands to catch the ball. He did that last year. They should have had a number of plays that likely turns a game in our favor if he uses his hands. He has the best body control and moves than any receiver in the country. But none of that matters if he's not catching the ball. I'm a fan of his. I think he genuinely loves Alabama which can't always be said this day in age. That makes me a fan.

Yup. I wouldn't be shocked if he went off in IU game.

Williams has an issue of confidence and that's his main problem. He's not confident in his hands, he's not confident in his routes or his ability to break free. He's afraid of a big hit at times. We just need to do some of that outside screen stuff and let him create in space and give him a chance to gain that confidence back. A player like that doesn't just disappear when he's that good. He's just having a slump year and he needs people to be behind him and not yelling at him.

Saban was perfect at this, sometimes there's a time for ass chewing when a guy is doing everything good but he's making a simple mistake here and there, and sometimes when a guy is losing confidence it's about building that guy back up and not tearing into him more.

Not sure how many of yall have had the chance to feel or put on a pair of gloves that WR’s use nowadays. But it’s almost not even fair how the gloves just stick to the ball (when it’s dry)…if they get wet they’re terrible to use.

Put a pair of those gloves on and you’ll understand how these players are making these remarkable highlight real catches.

But if you’re catching with your pads, you don’t get the benefit of the gloves.

You treat them with hand sanitizer (alcohol based), that activates and water proofs them.

Not only that... It's the media, and fans ripping him apart nonstop... and I don't care what anyone says... When you see enough of that on social media consistently throughout the season, you can't avoid that. You'll see it anyway... and it'll get in your head eventually. Williams isn't the only one who is going through this. Ridley, Jones, and other experienced this. At this point, we just need to continue to support him and just continuing to hope that light bulb comes on for him eventually. It may not be during playoff season, but Damn, as a fan, we have to gotta back off... Sometime we as a fan, we go too far with things we be saying about a player at time.

I use them as golf gloves.

I know this is about Alabama .. but Auburn has ton of players in transfer portal. Especially the defensive players.

The new regime under Golesh is supposedly revamping their NIL strategy (probably out of necessity rather than choice) and it means either pay cuts -or- no pay increases for a most all of the current players. This is leading many to seek other options, including several they'd prefer not to lose.

I’m surprised this kid hasn’t had more playing time, at least based on the hype coming in and the efforts to keep him at the end of last season.

What’s a kid supposed to say to a question like that leading up to a big game?
Some of the other guys have stepped up, so maybe he's developing and will be in a position to contribute next year.

Inappropriate question, if you ask me.
