| MBB/WBB đźŹ€ 2024-25 Pre-season - Bama dominates Wake (condensed version of the game now posted.)

We had a similar thread last year, and like it, I will update this one with the movement as it happens and next season's roster takes shape. Obviously, all the players in red that are set to return, won't. And others will be added via the portal. But I'll keep this updated and keep track of it as it all unfolds. As always, let me know of any errors/mistakes.

Also, keep in mind, there are 13 scholarship spots available per season. As of now, Alabama is +2 (15 scholarshipped players), which means at a minimum, 2 of the following will not return.

I just got home from a concert and didn't get a chance to watch... I saw about 1 minute of action late in the 1st on my phone but that was it. I'll watch it at some point on Sunday or Monday. But the thing that stood out from the team stats... 24 assists. That includes 6 (with 0 turnovers) from Holloway. That dog will hunt.

Also, Dwight Yoakam gave everyone a Roll Tide.
I was at a Sierra Hull concert in Decatur last Sunday and she had her houndstooth outfit and crimson shoes on. Was great to see!!! Roll Tide.

Boutwell...

Eric Burdon and the Animals, Lightening Lou Cristy, Swinging Medallions, and Paul Revere and The Raiders!

The 60's

The 80's.

When I lived in B;ham, was was too young for the concert scene in the 80's... when I hear "Boutwell" though, my mind immediate flashes with Gordon Solie calling a match with Ron Fuller and one of the Armstrongs. For all the dumb stuff B'ham does, I' glad they have preserved Boutwell and turned it back into a really nice facility.

Where is it located? Do not think I have ever seen it not that I get to Birmingham that often.

Rewatching the game. You can see this team just oozes confidence.

Second year with Pannone, lot more off-ball motion around the perimeter. Guys have a better understanding of spacing this season compared to last year.

Jarin Stevenson got out muscled early on inside. Didn't have good footwork or positioning multiple times throughout the game on D.

Dioubate is all effort. He's going to will this team to victory in multiple tight games this season. I think he had another board coming off a missed FT, similar to the one he had vs Grand Canyon in the tournament.

I do like Holloway's quick release, but he also took some shots REALLY early in possessions. Oats doesn't not like that, but he always emphasizes at least one paint touch before firing off. He missed some shots that I think he would have been better passing up.

Philon and Reid are both ballers. Nuff said.

The crazy thing is (and I know it's been talked about)... If you just woke up from a long coma and saw those highlights, you'd be thinking, "wow, this team is gonna be incredible..." Then someone says to you, "well, 4 really good players, including 3 who will be starters didn't even suit up..."
