🏀 2018 NCAA Tournament: Villanova wins National Championship

The 8:30 tip off on a weekday sucked really bad, needless to say, without a dog in the hunt, I watched a grand total of 0 minutes of it ... I do not understand the timing of these championship games, having to get up at 3:30 to 4:00 a.m. for work does not justifiy the suffering for the day, unless it's us playing.

The spurt by Nova just before the half did make me think it was over. As well as Michigan was playing and Wagner was acting like their superstar, to be behind spelled dome. When Barkley said basically the same thing at halftime I did pause and rethink my assessment a little. Turns out SuperNova was so good even the Chuckster couldn't bust that final piece of the bracket.

Hey coach, when are we going to get us some of those DiVincenzo kind of guys?

Boooooo Nova. Wannabe Philly school full of rich snobs. Hoping the Wolverines pull off the win.
A PhillyGirl talking smack about a Philly school? :-)

I've had enough exposure to Michigan fans to last several lifetimes. Those experiences were enough to root against Michigan. The addition of Harbaugh and his antics? The only thing they'll get from me is an occasional "I hope they don't lose" and ONLY if it has a direct bearing on the Tide.

Nova is not a Philly school, but they like to pretend they are! I'll give them the Big 5 legacy but I can't stand the Main Line culture it personifies.

In a perfect world they both would've lost :p

Delaware pride!! (I've only lived here for 3 months but I have to represent!)

Reports coming out of Central Florida indicate the Golden Knights will claim runner-up status for NCAA basketball. The Golden Knights defeated Alabama in the regular season while Alabama was eliminated by eventual champion Villanova, who beat the Tide by 26. But, Villanova never beat Central Florida. That's where the Golden Knights have discovered a loophole.

"We have a legitimate claim," says Central Florida President John Hitt. "They never beat us. We're not saying we're the best team. That's obviously Villanova. They beat Alabama worse than we did. But, we have a real claim for runner-up."

Parade times at Disney World will be announced later this week.

How's this? "You Philly people!"

Dawns on me while listening to sports news in the background...when Bams wins a title, you don't find the cops greasing light poles. Hrrmm.
