🏀 GAME THREAD 🏆 26 SEC Championship: Arkansas wins its 2nd SEC tournament title

I haven't watched every SEC game. I've kept the stat box open up just watching scores; watched games here and there.

Right now Mizzou is 25 and UK is under 27 percent from the arc. Every early team, so far, has had trouble shooting 3's early on.
It's even worse in the early games today.

Are we seeing the guard issues that were a problem with Florida in the OOC season start to rear their ugly heads again?

11:44 to play, UF down by 19.

Feel like it was only a matter of time before something like this happened to UF. Playing too well. Eventually you run into a team that is just 'on' and also has the matchups inside to disrupt your game plan. I still think UF should be a #1 seed.

What a hire by Vandy too. Byington's trajectory is just too good right now. Hope we can get the forwards next season Vandy has.

Byington calls into the local radio show one afternoon each week. He’s a good listen. Doesn’t take himself too serious. Gives credit to other teams often. Very likable guy.

My biggest shock of the day? This was only the second time UArk has won the SECT. I would have thought, no, I did think that Nolan won more than one in his time in Fayetteville.

They had some epic battles but it was still mostly the Kentucky Invitational back then.
Oh yeah. It's not that Nolan's teams didn't make the finals, it was they had only won it once: that surprised me.

Nolan and his time in Fayetteville was marked, repeatedly, with different controversies. I can't say I "liked him" as an opposing coach. But, he's one guy that in spite of my feelings I respected the way his teams played basketball; far more than most.
