I watched a little of the game with my son and we had to turn to something else, it was awful football. Like a game between 2 mid-tier teams that aren’t strong in any particular area.
Had to check my dial to make sure I wasn’t watching the MAC attack.I watched a little of the game with my son and we had to turn to something else, it was awful football. Like a game between 2 mid-tier teams that aren’t strong in any particular area.
To be honest, I think there’s only 5 playoff level talented teams in college football.IU was the benefactor of their soft schedule, that was obvious well before this game. And while they are very well coached, their problem is their overall lack of talent. They've got some solid football players, but so does every other power 4 program. Cignetti got the most out of them, which is a credit to him and his staff... but they don't have playoff level talent. And if they'd played some other playoff worthy teams in the regular season, their fate would have been settled before tonight.
Or go back to the BCS, when did they get it wrong? To be honest, I think there’s only 5 playoff level talented teams in college football.
Georgia
Texas
Oregon
Ohio State
Alabama
Honorable mention- Ole Miss
That’s it. Should only a be 4 team playoff like it has been for the last 10 years or so. Leave it the heck alone.
They didn’t. Unfortunately, money is more important than actually playing a tough schedule and winning games.Or go back to the BCS, when did they get it wrong?
Great minds…Tried to watch ND vs IU playoff and a Tuesday night MAC game broke out.

Agree. My theory on why it's the wild west in NIL is TV networks wanted bigger playoff so no holds barred transfers and NIL money has been allowed to break the best teams depth. Rules will come into place in the next couple years to regulate this but there had to be no rules to get it done quickly. Now that there's no dominant dynasty set up an NFL style playoff where multiple teams are capable of winning and have a 12 to 20 team playoff for more money. They didn’t. Unfortunately, money is more important than actually playing a tough schedule and winning games.
Tons of talented teams. No doubt. You're setting a pretty high threshold there, but it'll almost certainly be one of those first 4 that win it all this year, and there's a reason for that. But there's a lot of teams out there that have more talent (and I'm talking future NFL level talent) than Indiana. It was always only gonna take them so far, regardless of being really well coached.
