| MBB/WBB đźŹ€#16 Alabama over LSU on the road: 109-92.

He's paid pretty well, $4.5 million (top 10 nationally at the time he signed it a year ago) and goes up more each year. His worth is in his buyout, which is steep ($10 million after this season). Could Kentucky pay it? Yes. Would they? I don't know, but that's a lot to fork over for a buyout on top of what they'd owe Calipari, which would be a significant sum. Besides all that, I'm not sure their AD Barnhart would mesh well with Oats, some oil and water stuff there... but maybe that wouldn't matter. My guess is, Kentucky tries to make it work with Calipari if at all possible, but if not, they go another direction... like a Scott Drew or something. Now if Michigan State or Wisconsin come open? I'd probably get a tad anxious... especially if it was MSU.
Louisville is ponying up to make a run at him. Thing is - he and his family like it here and he has a great relationship with Byrne. The latter part is more important than anything. He could leave for Michigan State, but my guess is if he leaves, it's to the NBA.

They all play like that in nba. So no advantage to him...
Ttown is gold mine of sports enthusiasts...football mostly...but bball growing...

Build the new arena....really showcase bama....

On sad note of my own....based on what i watched AU vs Bama on Wednesday..was at casino Friday...n .....i almost put 20 on AU to win SEC ...
Then there was Florida for AU....and AnM for TN....
When I realized...cantbase anything on home court advantage...in sec basketball...
So..i took that 20 and put on KC in superbowl...

I read some comments referring to Matt Jones (KSR) and the post-game show. A fan called in and suggested Pearl which sort of sent Matt off the edge. A HELL no type of response followed by saying they wouldn't considered Beard, Oats, or Muss.
I get what he's saying. They feel there's "controversy" around all four names.

But my god, they hired Cal.

Right now, they're 15-9, but 7-6 in conference play. They're likely to make it in the tournament in March. Tom Izzo could do what Nick Saban did:

So I would think next season could be his last one... got a feeling. I don't know if Nat Oats would want to coach in NBA... He has stated several times that he love coaching kids. but who knows. My opinion: Start worrying in 2025 ....

On the NBA stuff.... I think that intrigues Oats. I also think he'd have to change his approach some (not his philosophy, but his approach to players), or either have a really, really good staff, if he'd have any sustainable success at that level.
