I think OK State deserves to be ahead of OK as they have no loss and both have 1 big quality win over a previously unbeaten. I think our list of victims is far and away more impressive than anyone else's. An argument could certainly be made for #1, but makes sense to keep Clemson there for now. But if we beat top 5 or 6 Florida (if they keep winning) and Clemson beats a top 10 UNC, it could be a crap shoot, since Clemson has no blemishes.

Notre Dame does not have an impressive win, in my opinion. Navy? Is that it? Now Stanford has been proven to be no contender, and ND will not have a conference championship game. Don't hold them to a different standard than Baylor/TCU last year. I think ND will be sweating like a Charlie Sheen lover on selection Sunday...

Among those teams that are in contention, I'd be most worried about Alabama playing Oklahoma and then a distant Ohio State. I think all the others Alabama matches up with quite well.

NDumb will be in just because of always being on TV ABC,CBS,NBC, Fox. Has ND been on ESPN this year? I think ND will have to lost one more time to drop out the top four.

Nah, I think they are the ones that have no control over their destiny and will need help to get in, even though they are #4 right now.

Assume the top 3 win out, and remain in their slots. If OSU/OU win out, they will jump in that 4th spot over ND.

In my opinion, ND needs some folks to lose to stay in the top 4 at season's end.

Clemson is only ranked #1 because: A) they're undefeated and B) they've beaten two overrated ranked teams, and weren't dominate in doing so.

Notre Dame is a joke and I hope they get into the playoffs. If we are to beat Ohio State, it would be such an easy win in the national title. Unfortunately, I think they lose to Stanford at the end of the year, and OU wins out, which would be a tough match-up for us.

The Little 12 carnage will work itself out; I think the Sooners will win in a squeaker. That'll be the drama for us to watch lately. Meanwhile, we're playing a high school team this weekend and two emotionally charged lightweights after that.

Bama needs to play their game and all the rest is just details.

Agreed.

Even if OSU loses, an undefeated Big 10 champ in Iowa would jump them imo.

What would really throw a wrench in things are if the top 3 lose a game.

Clemson losing to UNC in their title game... where do you put UNC?

Bama losing to Florida.... where does Florida jump to?

Ohio St beating MSU then losing to Michigan but then beating Iowa....

What kind of craziness would it be if we get a Bama, UNC, Iowa, and OSU/OU final 4?

New rankings out and i dont see a thread about it so lets discuss. Oklahoma making a big jump and nice to see undefeated Iowa in as well. Head scratcher with stanford being the top ranked two loss team and oregon ahead of the rebel bear sharks.

As of now, we would have OU in the Cotton. If B. Mayfield made it through only the first half against TCU, he won't make it out of warm-ups against our guys. :tank:

I agree. Mayfield is legit, and Big Mouth Bob seemsto have our number in bowls.
OTOH, this team did lose to Texas and a ballsy call from going to OT with a Boykin-less TCU.
