Before the Rankings release on Tuesday I wonder what everyone believes they will be. They could be drastically different from the AP and Coaches or they could follow along the same lines. I tend to believe the Committee will send a message to some conferences/teams about their sub-par schedules out the gate this year instead of waiting it out like they did last year. They kinda wanted to let CFB work it's magic last year but there were definitely some teams that just had super easy schedules and finished without losses despite not being a top 10 team. I'm interested to see how the 12 team model changes opinions on things and if it allows for more wiggle room to get the better teams in or if it's just another issue where scheduling and going undefeated against very mediocre teams is a better play in the long run.

My guess:

1. Oregon
2. Georgia
3. Ohio State
4. Texas
5. Miami
6. Penn State
7. Tennessee
8. BYU
9. Notre Dame
10. Indiana
11. Alabama
12. Boise State

13. LSU
14. Ole Miss
15. SMU
16. Texas A&M
17. Clemson
18. Iowa State

I think Vandy might squeak into the top 25.

Could pick one here or there. But overall. Good
One thing. Tennessee is not a top 10 imo
They will be crushed by uga and still travel to vandy ( thats wierd to say it being a problem)

But based on record. Ok.
Miami real? Their qb can lite it up

I understand the nostalgia of prognosticating as a fan.

However, this team is NOT a playoff calibre team with the body of work we've seen thus far. Now it can be, I have no doubt, but the product on the feild doesn't reflect that so far. Lets just get better each day, heal up, beat LSU, get better each day, beat the rest. If we do that, good. If we don't I'm not expecting this team to make it in the playoffs.

I be agree with you 100%!!!!!

Although…….

I don’t feel there’s more than 4 teams that are really good…..

12 teams lends itself to 5 to 8 slightly better than mediocre teams to “get in”!!!

I think the viles and this pains me to say, are a good team but mainly because of their D which gives them a shot against any team. They also seemed to push the right buttons in the 2nd half. That is the identity of this team which is not what most people think of when they think of their Fulmer 2.0 coach. I do hope UGA burries them because I despise them but that game may be closer than most think.

A team cant survive playing one half of ball.

Tennessee cant with no offense in first half
And their qb is so overrated its unbelievable

The D gives them a chance regardless of what the rest of the team does short of a full implosion. Think about it, Bama should have been up 3 scores but their D kept that from happening so when they finally adjusted they did not have such a large hill to climb.

That is why I talk about our D's performance so much. Fundamental to me like a pitcher and good D in baseball.

Plus 15 penalties.

Honestly do not care (well maybe a little bit) but in the end one game away from it not mattering. Bama needs to show improvement each and every game.

I don't either until the final week or two, but I enjoy these threads... almost started one myself. I am a tad more interested this year to see if the expanded field changes their m.o. some, they have been pretty predictable in how they operate (especially the final week)... not enough to tune in, but I'll certainly check out the rankings after they are released...

Really feels like they threw the Big Ten a bone with Penn State. It’ll all work itself out, but that’s way too high for them. Don’t have a problem with the rest at first glance… still a lot that will happen so no real need to even give it much thought yet.
