🏈 “You might as well be in different leagues, not conferences, different leagues…”

Meh.......when CFB decided to go to a 12 team play off system, we knew this would happen. Teams would start positioning themselves in order to be one of the last few teams to "get in". While I don't disagree with Kiffen's assessment, it is all about trying to make the play off.

Didn't matter if it was a 4 team play off ( we saw it last year with FSU) Or a 12 team play off, we will see Ole Miss and Clemson making this argument, or attempting to. Realistically, IMO. Just like every year, there about 4-6 teams that realistically have a shot at winning it all. The other 6 are there just to muddy up the water and make money for all the entities involved. Not to say you won't have a low ranked team make a run, but I don't think you will have a number 11 seed team win it all.

Might need to bookmark this if Bama makes it in and goes on a roll. I know it is unlikely but one can hope :). We certainly have the players to do it.

Seeing a team seeded #12 and winning the whole thing has never been an issue.
Seeing a team seeded at #12 that has no chance of winning a damn thing?

It's not the seeding, it's who occupies the seat.

Yep and as I stated in another thread bama could go one and done or they could win it all. First things first they have to get in. BTW this entire debate about being in or out by itself is extremely annoying and frustrating as that should not be applied to Bama football. This does not need to be the norm for Bama and CKD after his first year.

No one said it was the norm, but you gotta be happy about the opportunity. This whole "we don't deserve" shit is a terrible argument, because people saying that are thinking this is the BCS era or 4-Team Playoff era. Alabama has lost and looked bad, yes, but has earned the opportunity to be a Top 12 Playoff team. Tell me what others have done that deserve it more, because even in the games they've won and were supposed to win, every one of these teams has looked sloppy and should have lost more games throughout the season.

I am in a text thread with my three best buddies and one said Texas would walk away with this game against Georgia. I stated Texas wasn't even a Top 5 team in my mind, and barely a Top 10 team, but then I went to name the ones I could put in front of them and it was difficult because there is no dominant team this year. So many teams have not played anyone that I don't think Texas, Ohio State, Penn State, Indiana, Georgia, SMU are better than Alabama, BUT it was hard for me to rank five or ten teams ahead of Texas. As I said, they don't stand up to my definition of a Top 10 team, but yet when laying out the teams it's harder an harder to put teams in front of them. With this though, they are giving me ammo to put three loss teams in front of them.

Yeah I am not comparing Bama to the rest of the field as you are doing, I just see 3 losses. It is year one so it is what it is and if they get a chance that is fine. Will not complain about it. If they get a chance I hope they can find their edge and get on a run as they have the horses to do it. If they do not make it that is understandable also.

I'm pissed about the three losses as well, because we shouldn't have lost any of them. BUT, going undefeated isn't the goal, it's to win a National Championship and we still have a chance at that right now. Go undefeated while doing it, awesome. So I'm not going to talk about what didn't happen, yet what can still happen. If we miss the Playoff, let everyone hear it all.
