No one said it was the norm, but you gotta be happy about the opportunity. This whole "we don't deserve" shit is a terrible argument, because people saying that are thinking this is the BCS era or 4-Team Playoff era. Alabama has lost and looked bad, yes, but has earned the opportunity to be a Top 12 Playoff team. Tell me what others have done that deserve it more, because even in the games they've won and were supposed to win, every one of these teams has looked sloppy and should have lost more games throughout the season.
I am in a text thread with my three best buddies and one said Texas would walk away with this game against Georgia. I stated Texas wasn't even a Top 5 team in my mind, and barely a Top 10 team, but then I went to name the ones I could put in front of them and it was difficult because there is no dominant team this year. So many teams have not played anyone that I don't think Texas, Ohio State, Penn State, Indiana, Georgia, SMU are better than Alabama, BUT it was hard for me to rank five or ten teams ahead of Texas. As I said, they don't stand up to my definition of a Top 10 team, but yet when laying out the teams it's harder an harder to put teams in front of them. With this though, they are giving me ammo to put three loss teams in front of them.
