I understand completely what he's going through. I've had a "liveable" heart condition since birth. just required monitoring about once a year. Well when I was 18 it went from "livable" to "if we dont operate in 30 minutes this kids dead" Spent about 6 weeks in the hospital, missed the rest of the year of college and the summer.
I have meds I have to take everyday now and a list of "no-no's" as my mom calls them. But like any bullet proof teen or twenty something, I just took up Motocross sports and bought a Motorcycle
But my point after that novel..... I understand why Zeke wants to play. To have something like that that you love to do, something that practically defines part of who you are, and then to have it taken away from you for a reason beyond your control is very hard. If it had been me, I'd probably do the same thing.
