If there is a thread already I apologize for multiples. Anyone know what happened? I know he's in a cast

Edit: is this old and he's healed now?

Cecil Hurt mentioned it during a radio interview. Didn't make it seem bad. I'm just curious what the injury is.

I also hear Yeldon looks like an every down back right now. Anyone think he'll back up Lacy and skip over the rest of the backs?

That picture makes me want to scream, "Tuck the ball, dammit!!"

and that comment reminds me how awesome all of the "hes great except for the fumble problems" comments we're gonna here in the pre-season about Lacy (ignore the fact that he's fumbled a grand total of 3 times his entire career and only once last year)...

Where did that stigma come from? High school? Practice?

He is no Mario Fannin....

Yeah like Bamacore said, he fumbled twice in a game and somehow that makes him have "fumble problems" for the rest of his career. To the point where ppl will say ridiculous things like "I gasp everytime he carries the ball." Just dumb.

Spoiled much? Trent and Mark were thought to be invincible relative to fumbles so perhaps Lacy was unfairly lumped?

I remember having a similar discussion about Fannin over on AUFamily. People tried to defend him until we actually posted the numbers.

Lacy fumbling twice as a freshman wouldn't concern me. But if it'll make you guys feel better I'll be " that guy"

"You better hope Yeldon gets better before Lacy fumbles every carry!"

Saban benched him because of fumbling. Y'all saying Saban over-reacted as well? I don't care who it is or how many times they fumbled, anybody hanging the ball out like that is going to get a reaction from alot of people who recognize how critical turnovers are including Mr. Saban himself. Did I say bench him? Did I say he was going to fumble the ball 100 times? I simply said, tuck the ball dammit - and that holds for any and all running backs. Talk about over-reacting or blowing something out of proportion...

Wow man, calm down. I was just talking about the general fanbase when I referred to over reacting about his fumbling "problem." Looking at the picture it is clear the ball is not secure. But you can't deny the stigma some had on Lacy about a fumbling "problem" is a tad bit ridiculous. Did he get benched for it? Yes...that day... Seems to not have been benched much since...

And just to be clear, I'm not saying that YOU are saying he has a fumbling problem. Unless you are...

You need to take a pill bruh... noone here called YOU out, we were talking about the fanbase in general. And when did Lacy get "benched"?! In the game he fumbled? Dude was the 3rd back that year and continued to have touches as the season went on (career high in the bowl game) so I have no clue what you're talking about.

Well what brings a smile to my face is when LSU was trying to strip the ball from him in the National Championship and he just kept bull dozing them for extra yardage and he held onto the ball. Ball security IMO won't be a problem for him this coming season, pass blocking maybe and his turf toe.
