šŸˆ Y'all think it's safe to say, "Ty is going to be in NYC?" The Heisman.

Is just my perception we started the pre-season with quite a bit of talk about the trophy but now...crickets? Arch and Nuss to name two.

I've been casually watching news around this year and I've seen Ty referred to more as QB1 (draft references) in the last few weeks than I have about the trophy.

DeBoer commented on it today. (I appreciate the 'our' building.)

In our building, he's not bringing it up and our coaches are not bringing it up.

But ... nevermind
Say it! 24/7 forgets there was a head to head match up.

If Simpson plays within himself & doesn't force the game, he'll be fine at getting to NY.
It was nice to see Mark win the trophy. It was marking a new era.
Henry's was fun largely because of the hype surrounding LF at LSU.
Smitty? Man, so much of that was Mac.
Bryce? By default?

I've never really cared about the trophy because of the voter pool. It's warped in a kaleidoscope world. But, you are hitting on my point here ...

"...he'll be fine at getting to NY."

That also means we have just watched one of the best QB performances in Bama history. Before Mark, when the other guys were there they deserved to be considered among the best.

(Yet another edition of my belief that Ty is Mac 2.0 in a sense, but now I'm thinking he may be better.)

Hit the reset button and read again.
To be honest with you if they run more than one person from the southeastern conference...no one has a chance from the southeastern conference.. they will split that regional vote... so I believe it's a moot point anyway... I'm not saying I would not like to see Simpson win it... but I do believe the deck is stacked against it..

He's better. Without taking anything away from Mac. And I'm not even sure if Ty is less emotional than Mac (no clue actually).

I would say that Ty is better up to this point in games counted. And it looks like his ceiling will be higher. The question comes down to Ty letting the game come to him.

And on the positive side, if Ty doesn't get it, then the whole team is going to be playing like the wrath of a freshman cheerleader who gets stood up for Prom.

Think he's better too, definitely doesn't had the supporting cast Mac did.

A lot of talk about Bamas schedule and the guantlet we have gone through. As an old school guy not sure I see it as much of a guantlet as people are saying. On paper yes because Vandy/Mizzou were top 15 but I really only think one game on that run was against a next level team and to add to that it was on the road. So I would make that run a 3 tier schedule 1) UGA 2) Tn and 3/ Vandy/Mizzou.

I think when the dust settles the tier 3 will prove to be average or maybe a little above average. Better than what they have been in the past but not necessarily next level. Time will tell.

Do you think Oregon is better than Vandy? If so, why? And, based upon what?

Do you think SOR means anything? If yes, why? If no, why?

All candidates still have opportunities to prove themselves. Ty still has Oklahoma, LSU and at Auburn. All 3 have solid defenses. He’s had the stiffest competition to date and the stiffest remaining competition. So he’ll get his chance to seal the deal.

Not going to go chasing all of that so lets see where they end up at the end of the year. That will tell you all you need to know (you know my mantra let it play out). We will see but in my opinion, Vandy is not done losing games this year. Did anyone reasonably believe Vandy has the history and culture to go to Austin and win even with Tx struggles this year? I for one did not and doubt many others did either.

I have not watched games today. Been doing yard work for winter prep and also had the 2 year old grandson helping (not). So all I was getting was some updates on my phone. When I heard Tx was up 24-10, I was not surprised at all. I was very surprised that Vandy fought back to make it as close as it ended.
