🏈 Yahoo Claims DJ Fluker Received Extra Benefits

Well, I actually took the time to read the article. For those commenting without reading it, you should really read it through. Here is my take, while at first blush it doesn't look good, I did notice that a lot of the "evidence" they present is Luther Davis' evidence. On text messages, they cite "a number associated with Fluker" which is not proof it is DJ. They have no bank records and the itineraries they reference are Davis' itineraries that he set up on various occasions. He can write whatever he wants on Expedia. What I'm getting at is that almost all of the evidence they have is circumstantial and while it doesn't look good, it doesn't actually "prove" anything. Further if DJ's mother received benefits, how is that any different from $cam Newton's Dad? We should hire the law firm that defended $cam and Johnny Autograph and turn them loose.

One problem with your assertion there, they closed that loophole that allowed Cam to get by with "it was my dad and I didn't know."

but given our past with the NCAA, I think we have really painted ourselves into a corner this time. Not to mention, the textbook case isn't even that old. :shake:

Explain to me how "we painted ourselves into a corner"? What could the University have done to keep this from happening? Who, from the program, knew this was going on?

If we knowingly played a player we thought could be ineligible, then I agree, we painted ourselves into a corner.

Wow! There are some talking heads (or azzes) out there just trying to look like they know what they're talking about on the sports channels, aren't there. None of us know what is going on right now, so just calm down, be patient and weather what ever comes of it. It is what it is. The media has to keep their readers reading and they do that by embellishing what they think they know or what they themselves have read. Take a deep breath and chill.
