🏈 Yahoo Claims DJ Fluker Received Extra Benefits

He explained to them several times that he we have staff that are going to handle the situation. He said that he would answer questions related to the Texas A&M game and our current players. When the press did not offer any questions he said, "Thank you for your interest in the game." (Sarcasm) and walked out.

What'd be say? Was it anything like the response from Battle I posted?

He made his statement as he opened the presser. Said that he hadnt read the story but was unaware of anything wrong that was done, and if anything was done they will take care of it. He said he didn't have any more info on anything involving former or current players.

Very first question was about the column, Saban said he didnt know anything else and he already said not to ask him about it again. They asked again and he exploded and said "DO NOT ASK AGAIN" and if anybody had a question about Texas A&M he would be happy to answer them. They just decided to end it there lol and he gave the media the death stare and said "Thanks for the interest in the game" before walking away. Easily the shortest Saban presser ever.

I care because I don't want a championship we barely got to (thank you Baylor and Stanford) to be vacated because one player was dumb enough to take money.

The fact that there is even a remote possibility of losing it .. Woof.

Let all the facts come of this is my thoughts. It sounds isolated and not the fault of coaches and the institution itself. Who knows. All I care about is whooping Texas A&M this weekend. I personally dont care what other teams, fan bases, especially Auburn say with this matter. The price you pay for being on top I guess.

I dont blame Coach for his actions in the presser. Fans the media and so forth are a fickle bunch, judge before the truth comes out, lynch mob tactics and so forth. The Media mainly. I want facts before I get my dander all riled up. Until then Texas A&M is 3 days away.

To echo others here, the timing is just .. TOO coincidental lol. The most important week of the season for 'Bama and this comes up? Get real.

Is there any similar precedent for this situation? Like, if coaches and the institution are NOT involved (that we know of) and it is one player, what can really be done? The player violated the NCAA rules, not a team or staff. And the player is in the pros now anyway (at least, Fluker is). So what happens? This is all assuming the allegations are true, of course. Please don't take away the crystal football because the actions of one idiot!

I think CNS's reaction is great. I love when he shows some 'tude. Hopefully, 1. we go in and destroy TAMU, and 2. this issue gets settled, and fast.

It sucks, no doubt, they definitely released it at their convenience, but after watching teams after teams, players after players with this crap, I am numb. What can you do? We as a fanbase have to sit back and watch the media/others including our own, destroy a program over money. That is what it boils down to. How did he get this money? Did he Sign a napkin? Talk to a agent, or have a friend that is and he got in on the action. Its all about the money. Kids taking pictures with wads of cash, Rich kids signing autographs or brought up in poverty and can't avoid a pay day, raining Benjamin's. Sad really. Rules are rules. I will not get involved in a hate fest with the "going ons" of a program until the facts come out. On a personal level it pains me to see this stuff about our boys, our school, our Coach having to go out there and field stupid ass questions on something they know he wont answer. It's a dog and pony show for the Media. Nothing we can do but take the BS and wait for the truth.

Its good that there are fans like you Philly that love the program, just take it in stride is my advice, cause there are some rough roads ahead with others calling us cheaters until the facts get out, even then if we are cleared its still gonna be crap. I just hope our team doesn't lose focus.
