📝 WR Amari Cooper commits to Alabama

I have a point to show up over here and it's something which I'd like to share, just for being able to know what you all guys think about it. Well, obviously we've got talent and plenty of options at the receiving corp. All of ours guys are good in catching the football, athletic and quick for getting open down the field, but I think we kind of missing somebody who is a physical presence over the middle of the field, since Julio departed and Duron Carter failed to qualify this season. The overall view here for me is like the coaching staff has also failed to attract big-time talent with the kind of potential to be physical and a valuable threat outside the numbers. And I'm talking about the fact of failing just after some of the kids revealed as a recruiting busts as the likes of Destin Hood, Melvin Ray (both of whom took the baseball career), Michael Bowman or Kendall Kelly. There are still options on the program like Marvin Shinn and Danny Woodson, who I really think was a bit overshadowed in our last recruiting class, but no depth, no experience right now in terms of players capable of being able to be a presence as a type of possession receivers to move the chains. Even Amari Cooper also said that Saban talked to him about the fact of the desperate need of guys to come in and compete. What do you guys think about it?

I don't see it the way that you do. Having someone who can go over the middle and who is also big is far from the key to success. Its like saying that you need Bruising Fullback. They play a roll, but success can be had without them. Good route running with speed will get one open, and being open trumps being able to win a battle for the ball every time.

We have success and failures at every position, but we have quality depth this year at WR (IMO). Obviously Amari was not recruited for this season, but this season does show that we will not fall on our face without a Julio every year. Besides, D.Carter is coming for next season...in case absolutely no other Receiver can get open at any other place on the field.
